Plates aren't the only
vehicle selector

LPR is foundational to vehicle investigations. Pair it with RF-captured persistent device identifiers — TPMS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi — and the picture becomes durable: two independent selectors per vehicle, surviving plate changes and crossing jurisdictions.

The Operational Gap

Plates alone tell part of the story.

Plate reads capture one durable selector per vehicle. But vehicles also broadcast other signals — TPMS sensors, Bluetooth signatures from on-board electronics, Wi-Fi probes from connected devices. An investigation that pairs the plate with the device identifiers behind it has a far more complete picture than either source alone, and can stay connected across plate changes, vehicle handoffs, and jurisdictional boundaries.

  • Two Surfaces, Not OneLPR captures the plate. RF captures the persistent device identifiers traveling with the vehicle. Both surfaces together give investigations far more durable selectors than either alone.
  • Vehicle ContinuityA TPMS identifier doesn't change when other things on the vehicle do. Pair TPMS with the plate read and you have two independent selectors confirming the same vehicle — across drives, jurisdictions, and time.
  • Multi-Jurisdictional ContinuityRF device identifiers persist across jurisdictions independently of plate-data sharing agreements. Layered with LPR, the picture stays continuous even where LPR networks don't share.
The Sigilite Approach

LPR plus the layer underneath.

The vehicle intelligence stack pairs plate capture with the device identifiers plates can't carry — both correlated in the same workspace.

Outcomes

What changes when the plate isn't the only signal.

01

Selectors that survive

Investigations no longer fail when plates get swapped. TPMS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi identifiers persist across plate changes and across jurisdictions.

02

Pattern-of-life depth

Vehicle patterns of life become observable across longer time horizons and more selectors. Routine, anomaly, and emerging behavior surface clearly.

03

Cross-jurisdictional continuity

A vehicle moving across jurisdictions is the same vehicle to a device-identifier-aware system, even if the plates change in between.

Get Started

Build vehicle awareness that doesn't break.

Plate-only operations have a known failure mode. Pairing LPR with RF closes it. We'll scope the capture mix and the correlation workspace that fits your investigative profile.
